Chioma's Family At War With Davido's Family For Making Her DropOut Of School For Full Time Housewife

Love, they say, is beautiful and it couldn’t have been more beautiful for Chioma Roland, Davido’s girlfriend as she has had solid ‘Assurance’ that her romance with the singer would soon be sealed in nuptial bliss. The media was agog last week with the news of Davido proposing to her and the latter accepting the proposal. But there’s a snag somewhere as Chioma’s family aren’t too charmed about the development and their reason is as valid as any family’s in the matter.
According to a reliable source, Chioma’s father, who is a devout Seventh Day Adventist is not particularly pleased that his daughter has not been serious with her studies. Vanguard Ripples’ has it on good authority that the love struck girl who gained admission into Babcock University (a Seventh Day Adventist school) to read economics in 2012 is yet to graduate, when she should have completed the course since 2016. Chioma, once skipped a whole session because she was travellling around with Davido and had to defer her studies. For months now, she has not been attending classes. I can’t even remember the last time she was in school. The last thing I heard from her friends in school is that she’s not interested in coming back to Babcock.
She’s travelled out of the country again and it doesn’t look like she’s coming back. A friend confessed to me that she told her she’s not coming back to Babcock, said a source who wouldn’t want her name in print. It was further gathered that her father has had a strict talk with her that she must finish school before embarking on any marriage plans.
The devout Seventh Day Adventist parents are said to be pained about their child treating her celebrated love affair with the superstar singer as top priority over her education. It is public knowledge that Chioma and Davido are already living like they are married. Wherever there’s Davido, Chioma is sure to be there. For a woman who had a Porsche car gift on her birthday and a song in her name ruling the airwaves, the fantasy that comes with it may just be too much for her to handle, family or not.

[Music] Mr. Eazi – “Property” ft. Mo-T

Banku Music piooner, Mr. Eazi gives it all to lover on new record titled “Property” featuring Mo-T of Mi Casa.

Mr Eazi takes it to a continental level as he features South African trumpeter, Mo-T of the Mi Casa band. On this new record, the flows and transitions are so exceptional.
On the song, Mr Eazi plays the role of a lover who is ready to lay it all for his love interest. In modern day, 80% of lovers wouldn’t dare to do that, but on this one, it’s an exceptional love story.
Enjoy the rhythmic number below as we gear towards the release of ‘Life is Eazi, Vol. 2 – Lagos To London’

[Music] Seyi Israel | Wetin I Go Give You

Rev. Seyi Israel and the One Sound Gospel have officially released their debut song titled “Wetin I go give you.” The message in the song alludes that God is the epicenter of life and all that is in it such that money and gifts are nothing compared to what God has done. Hence in the quest to know what can be given to this faithful God, the question goes in Nigerian creole English, “ Wetin I go give to you ”.
Speaking about her song, the band describes it genres of music as

“A fuse of both RnB/Soul genre, and soft rock. These were the genres that were implemented in the production of this debut single".

About Seyi Israel and the One Sound Gospel
Rev. Seyi Isreal and the One Sound Gospel, is a gospel musical band based in Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria. The band led by Rev Seyi was established in the year 2015.
Due to their peculiar style of music and production, coupled with the outpouring of Gods anointing whenever they minister, the group has featured in so many programs such as music concert in Asaba, Miracle Centre in worship, and even the Mega Con Crusade held by Church of God Mission International, but to mention a few.
The band organizes a monthly worship program themed “Worship in the Club” and the vision is to take worship away from church buildings, and take it to popular club houses, where those in the world, could worship and enjoy Gods presence, thereby leading to the salvation of their souls. As a band, they are currently working on a couple of songs, some of which will be released very soon.

These Are Nigeria’s “TOP 10” Male Vocalists .. Take It Or Leave It!!

We’ve seen many new collaborations, more singles have been dropped, albums have been released and surprisingly, show-stopping performances have been nailed to the dot.
This top 10 list is about the male vocalists in the industry whose musical dexterity just can’t be missed especially in their voices and their songs.
10. Flavour
Pop and high life music have been overtaken by a wanton show of energy (hype) and dance. But Flavour has stuck to his guns, selling himself as the entire package with the addition of his sonorous tenor to making the trio a perfect combination. Some of his music singles where he showed appreciable vocal prowess are Power To Win, Ololufe, Ada Ada, Shake, Oyi as well as the acoustic renditions I’m For Real and Gollibe. He has also delivered laudable vocals on collabos with Bracket, Iyanya, Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Naeto C, Chidinma and Solidstar.

9. Brymo
Afro soul singer, Brymo is perhaps the reason why we loved that Ice Prince song Oleku too much. Brymo has a discography of songs covering four critically successful albums; Brymstone, Son of a Kapenta, Merchant, Dealers & Slave and more recently, his 2014 release “Tabula Rasa “ after running solo from former label, Chocolate City Group. His break out single, Ara as well as other notable releases including: Good Morning, We All Need Something, Down, Fe Mi, Dear Child, and Prick No Get Shoulder are all songs that highlight his distinguished voice with constant revelation of emotions, and mostly sung in the Yoruba dialect.

8. Wande Coal
Right from his days with the now defunct Mo’ Hits crew, WC had always shown prospect as a vocalist and a knack especially for commercially styled R&B/afro pop genre of songs. He featured on the vamp for one of D’Banj’s familiar singles, Why Me , and later getting his big break on the label’s compilation debut with Ololufe , which was adjudged to be one of the greatest love songs ever written by a Nigerian. He’s remained constant with several other on-point releases including
Bumper2Bumper , Private Trips , Rotate and Baby Hello , not forgetting his epoch delivery on musical collabos with Patoranking, Flavour and the Ghanaian duo, R2Bees.

7. Nosa
There once was a time when I Go Always Pray For You happened to be almost everyone’s ring back/caller tune. It was all thanks to the magic in Nosa Omoregie’s musical and vocal artistry. That song particularly grew on everyone and I dare say it had too much to do with the manner at which he executed voicing out the lyrics to the song. It was just simply unique! Nosa later got signed to Chocolate City Music and was featured on Brother, off M.I’s latest studio album. His vernacular-styled hook is still every listener’s favourite.

6. Darey
You know you have really big shoes to fill when your father is a renowned Nigerian entertainer with audiences all over the world. Suffice to say that Darey hasn’t failed in living up to these high expectations. Darey was second runner-up at South Africa’s Project Fame series in 2004 and has since then ascended to newer reigns in his stardom. He can be credited for hugely successful singles like Escalade , Fuji and the popular soul ballad, Not The Girl. His most recent single, Pray For Me features the Soweto Gospel Choir and is off his newly released studio album, “Naked “. Darey’s musical policies and how he executes them continue to earn him recognition on a global scale.

5. Iyanya
Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk razzled and dazzled with show-stopping performances alongside his silky smooth tenor to clinching the first prize at the debut edition of Nigeria’s highly revered music talent hunt, MTN Project Fame. After his debut release failed to reach commercial acclaim, he revamped his style, yet keeping the voice constant. It’s too bad that we never appreciated the beauty of his music on singles like Iyanya and Love Truly but he found ways to make up for with other musical hits including Mr. Oreo, Away, Story Story and more recently, Applaudise. His vocal star power has him widely associated with acts Seyi Shay, Tiwa Savage, Emma Nyra, Wizkid, Banky W, Flavour and a fine crop of African artistes.

4. Banky W
Yes, Banky W may have switched music personas in very recent times but he still commands with his usual sway every time he opens up his vocal power. Pumped with a desire to make it and his velvety voice, Mr R&BW hit the Nigerian shores after a hiatus abroad. His musical cover, Ebute Metta to Rihanna’s 2007 hit, Umbrella became his official announcement to the industry. Banky has since then, stayed blazing his trail with top notch deliveries on songs like Strong Tin, Lagos Party, The Way, Good Good Loving, Yes/No, Jaiye Orimi, Mercy and
High Notes. He also enjoys vocal association with acts Tiwa Savage, Lynxxx, Wizkid, Niyola, M.I, Sound Sultan, DJ Xclusive and Sarkodie.
3. Cohbams Asuquo
Cobhams is one producer extraordinaire with his hands in everything music – even, vocal sounds. Not only is he well-honed in the art of constructing benign musical orchestrations, he belts out those melodies from his signature baritone as he strikes the black and white keys. Timi Dakolo, Omawumi, Bez, Banky W, Darey, 2face, Waje, Chidinma, Stan Iyke and Lami are some of the industry’s best acts that can attest to his unrivaled directorship in music. Although he may not be armed with a repertoire of records like majority of the afore-mentioned, we still bow in obeisance over sonorous numbers like
Ordinary People and his gospel medley,
I Worship You.

2. Praiz
Praiz Adejo can be likened to the John Legend of Africa, and it is obviously tied to the fact that he sounds a terrific lot like the multiple award-winning international artiste. He entered into limelight from a revered music talent hunt where he placed second, showing off his utterly impressive and unequivocal skills to particular relish. No doubt, he’s quite famed for the R&B single Rich and Famous , he has also expended vocal effort (summa cum laude style) on other music material like M.I’s Epic, Bez’ That Stupid Song and a cover version of Rihanna’s Stay. He released his debut album late last year, which was a double-disc showing his versatility in other genres especially afropop and soukous.

1. Timi Dakolo
Interestingly, Timi Dakolo also goes by the alias ‘The Voice’. The soul and R&B singer possesses a firebrand tenor that has his heart and soul deeply sewn into it. Timi has been influenced by a string of life experiences that have birthed stellar records like Let It Shine,
Heaven Please , Great Nation, Iyawo Mi and Wish Me Well. Using vocal emotion, his rich, deep sounds transcends you past the evoque musical orchestration and into a virtual world that vividly encapsulates the message in his song which are mostly conscious, often in real time and sometimes true life.

Notable:
Burna Boy
Like King M.I would say, the swagger in Burna Boy’s voice is branded! This guy has got serious frosh in his voice and with a signature sing-style that is a fine blend of afro, ragga and contemporary.
Di Don Gorgon, Tonight , Run My Race ,
Rockstar as well as his hook on AKA’s
All Eyes On Me are some of the music singles where you can’t miss him showing off his impressive vocal worth. Recently, he’s become a constant vocal feature for many other African recording artistes including AKA, Da L.E.S, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Heavy-K.

Falz | This is Nigeria (Lyrics)

[Verse 1]
They’re extremely poor
And the medical facilities are poor
We operate a predictory neo-colonial capitalist system
Which is founded on fraud and exploitation
And therefore, you are bound to have corrupt institutionalists
Many criminal cases are settled in police stations, i bet illegal
[Hook]
Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh ewo oh
Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh ewo oh
Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh ewo oh
[Chorus]
This is Nigeria
Look how am living nah
Look how am living nah
Everybody be criminal
This is Nigeria
Look how we living nah
Look what we eating nah
Everybody be criminal
[Verse 2]
This is Nigeria
Just because am on Tv nah
Person wey no get work is checking
To see if my watch is original
This is Nigeria
Where that madam philomena?
Money vanish for your office
36 milli, you talk say na animal
This is Nigeria
Never ending recession oh
Where looters and killers and stealers are still
Contesting election oh
Politician wey thief some billion and billion
He no dey go prison oh
Uh, police station dey close by 6, na security reason oh
“Baba” my brothers and siters,
“E se o baba” I want you to put your hands up right now
“E se o baba” because your miracle is coming this week
“A wa dupe baba”
If you believe me, let me hear you say amen
[Verse 3]
Ahn, this is Nigeria, praise and worship, we singing out
Pastor put his hand on the breast of his member,
He’s pulling the demon out
This is Nigeria “Yea”
No electricity daily oh “Eh”
Young people are still working multiple jobs
And they talk say we lazy oh
This is Nigeria “Eh”
There’s plenty wahala sha
Fulani herdsmen still dey slaughter
Carry people dey massacre
This is Nigeria
Bombs in my area, this is democracy
Political hysteria
Yahoo yahoo don tear everywhere now
And we act like it’s so cool
Casting the p and being castigated just for trying to be noble
This is Nigeria, look at my nation ooh
Sarz stop me for road, any explanation,
You go talk am for station oh
Sir,am look sir, am just a student
Am a student of the university of lagos
We’re just coming from the club, okay
“Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh ewo oh”
So my friend and I, we’, no, sir, I have my id to prove
“Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh ewo oh”
[Chorus]
This is Nigeria
Look how am living nah
Look how am living nah
Everybody be criminal
This is Nigeria
Look how we living nah
Look what we eating nah
Everybody be criminal
[Verse 4]
“This is break in transmission of ehm, sansmission e
Transmission”
What happen everyday is that, the system must allowed it
For instance, there’s no law that allows you
To take money from the church, invest in business
And privatize it No!
It is only in Nigeria where you can take money from the church
Money contributed by poor congregation member *Public fund*
You go and setup a university that the members cannot attend
Cannot send their children to
It’s against the rule of eh the law of god
It’s against our constitution.
